To Delete Shaft Segments (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

1. Double-click the centerline of the shaft to edit.
2. In the Shaft Generator dialog box, select the Delete button.
3. Select the object to be deleted.

Note:

• Since the shaft has to be adapted accordingly, the command has to know which end is the fixed end. The Fixed End of the shaft (left or right) can be specified in the Shaft Generator Configuration dialog box. If you select the Prompt option, you will be asked for the Fixed End.
• If the section to be deleted contains a groove, a chamfer, a fillet, and/or a break, this section is deleted also.
