To Insert a Shaft Break (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

To use this option you must have inserted at least one segment.

1. Double-click the centerline of the shaft to edit.
2. In the Shaft Generator dialog box, select the shaft break option.
3. Specify a point on the shaft segment, where the break is to start. The shaft is interrupted at this point, and the Shaft Break symbols are inserted in suitable size.
4. Specify the length of the break, or select the endpoint of the break, using the mouse. The default value is the diameter of the shaft.

Note: If you delete a broken section, the shaft break is also deleted.
