To Add Shaft Components to a Shaft (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

1. In the Shaft Generator dialog box, select the Std. Part... option.
2. In the Standard Content Selection dialog box, select the content to insert.
3. Depending on the standard content you selected, further dialog boxes will open.

Note: If the shaft you are editing has a sectional view, that too updates when you insert shaft components in this manner.
