Results Analysis

A Results analysis database item may contain a list of either Results point, line and polygon objects that can be used to either interrogate results within a 2D mesh, or read-only Results element objects that provide 2D mesh element property details for the inspection of mesh elements within the 2D mesh.

To create a Results analysis database item

1. Create Results analysis objects to be saved in the Results Analysis item by:
   • Adding or editing Results point (2D), Results section and Results polygon (2D) network objects (see the Digitising Network Objects topic for details).
   • Generating Results element 2D objects by selecting a row or bin in the 2D Mesh Element Histogram dialog and clicking Show grid view.
2. Select Results analysisSave as from the Network menu
3. In the lower part of the Save As dialog, click on a Model Group. Type a name for the Results analysis item in the top box and click on Save. An existing Results analysis item can be overwritten by selecting the Results analysis item and clicking Save.

A Results analysis item can be opened in the GeoPlan window by any of the following methods:

• Drag and drop the Results analysis item onto the GeoPlan window.
• Right click on the Results analysis item and choose Open from the popup menu. This opens the Results Analysis item in the Current Network.
• Double click on the Results analysis item. This opens the Results analysis item in the current network.

Multiple Results analysis items can be opened in the GeoPlan window by holding down the CTRL key while dragging and dropping a Results analysis item onto the view.

To open a Grid window of a Results analysis object:

• Select the Grid windowsNew results analysis window option from the Window menu.
