Organize Project Deliveries
Key purpose of this template is to manage & track the Implementation Task & Documents. In order to manage the given information in an efficient manner, this template also provides various workspaces that can optionally be used to group information by different context. This chapter lists all of these workspaces which are used as dynamic picklists for task & documents.
Please note that while all of these workspaces come with a predefined Item Details Page, the template does not make use of these details except the Title, which is mandatory. All other fields are for information purposes only, e.g. to capture the planned date information for a Project’s phase.
Workspace | Description |
---|---|
Business Processes | List of all Business Processes to be managed in Fusion Manage, enables to track all tasks required to get Change Management live for example. |
Implementation Events | Relevant meetings of the project like key user meetings, solution definition workshops or Steco meetings can be captured in this workspace. These events can be used to do a follow-up planning by selecting the event at which a task has been captured. This enables to review the progress & outcomes in subsequent events later on. As an alternative, they can also be used for upfront planning by selecting a future event for which a given set of tasks has to be accomplished. |
Implementation Projects | The implementation of PLM may take place in parallel to a PDM implementation or CAD system upgrade. With this template, all of these projects can be managed at the same time. To split the tasks & documents of these projects, one can define multiple projects in this workspace. Each project can be split into different phases using the given workspaces. |
Implementation Phases | The deliveries of a project can be split in various phases. A project has to be created before phases can be created as this is a mandatory input. Once projects and phases have been created, tasks can be assigned to such phases to derive a real time schedule: ![]() In order to assign an Implementation Task to a Project Phase, users can use the Project & Phase fields of a task. These fields are connected so that when a user selects a phase, the system will select the matching project automatically. On the other hand, users can also select a project first to get the list of phases filtered. |
