Create an axis through two planes
Learn how to use the Axis Through Two Planes tool to create a construction axis along the extended intersection of two non-parallel faces or planes in Fusion.
On the toolbar, select Construct > Axis Through Two Planes
.
The Axis Through Two Planes dialog displays.
In the canvas, select the first face or plane.
Select the second face or plane.
Click OK.
The new construction axis displays in the canvas, along the extended intersection of the two faces or planes you selected.
Tips
- You can only create one construction axis at a time.
- Create construction axes when you want to reference an axis or edge that does not exist and is not one of the 3 default axes.
- The two faces or planes you select cannot be parallel to each other.
- Use an Axis Through Two Planes when you want to reference the extended intersection of two planes or faces.
