Create a point at the intersection of two edges

Learn how to use the Point Through Two Edges tool to create a construction point at the intersection or extended intersection of two edges in Fusion.

  1. On the toolbar, select Construct > Point Through Two Edges point through 2 edges icon.

    The Point Through Two Edges dialog displays.

  2. In the canvas, select the first edge or axis.

  3. Select the second edge or axis.

  4. Click OK.

The new construction point displays in the canvas, at the intersection or extended intersection of the two edges or axes you selected.

Tips

  • You can only create one construction point at a time.
  • The two edges or axes you select cannot be parallel to each other.
  • Create construction points when you want to reference a point that does not exist.
  • Use a Point Through Two Edges when you want to create a construction point at the intersection or extended intersection of two edges or axes.
