The Alert instance list displays all of the alerts for a given alert definition list for the associated simulation.
Alert instances can be shown:
- In an Alert instance list.
- On the GeoPlan as a theme. See Alert Instances for more information.
An Alert instance list is generated whenever an alert definition list is dragged onto an open simulation and is created as a child of the simulation in the Explorer window. In a Live system, the Innovyze Live Server will automatically generate the simulations and the alert instance lists.
The status of alert instance list generation is indicated by the colour of the alert instance list icon in the tree view. See the Database Items topic for more information.
Alert Instance list grids are read-only and all the fields are auto-generated from the alert definition from which the alert instances were created.
See below for a description of the grid and for details about creating, opening and exporting alert instance list.
Grid description
Field |
Description |
---|---|
Alert definition ID |
The name of the alert definition, identifying the type of event occurring in the network, e.g. critical pressure. Alert definition IDs are specified in Alert Definition Lists. |
Target ID |
The object identifier. If the object does not have an Asset ID, the Object ID will be displayed instead. |
Target type |
The type of object that the alert applies to, e.g. conduit, subcatchment. |
Priority |
Priority of the alert (integer) |
Category |
Category of the alert. |
Onset time |
Simulation time at which the event that triggered the alert first started. |
End time |
Simulation time at which the event that triggered the alert ended. |
Peak value |
The peak value for the event that triggered the alert. |
Units |
The units of measurement for the peak value. This will be the same as the currently selected Unit. |
Peak time |
The time that the peak value was reached. |
Visibility |
Inherited from the related Alert Definition. Not visible to the user in the grid. |
Notes | Information about the alert that was added in the Alert Definition List. If only part of the note is visible, click on the field to open the Notes window where the entire note can be viewed. |
Create an alert instance list
- Open the desired simulation in the GeoPlan.
- Drag and drop the desired Alert Definition List onto the GeoPlan. A dialog shows the progress of the operation as alert instances are being generated.
Open an alert instance list
To open an alert instance list, drag and drop the alert instance list onto the InfoWorks ICM main window or right-click it in the database tree view and select Open from the context menu.
Export an alert instance list
Alert instance lists can be exported to CSV files for viewing or editing in other applications. See Exporting Alert Instance Lists for more information.
