Manage Supplier Package Templates
For users with Fusion connected sites, references to the 'Items' workspace should be the 'Components' workspace.
Supplier Packages are used to request action or share information with the supplier. With the help of templates, a set of documents and deliverables can be shared instantly without having to create it manually every time. The packages will automatically grant access for the selected supplier to shared information, eliminating the need to manually send files and instead enabling suppliers to access the latest information instantly and continuously.
A template’s title, type and remarks will be copied to a newly created supplier package. If an offset for the target schedule has been configured in the template, it will also automatically add these offsets to the creation date of the created supplier package. Note that the template does not overwrite existing data, it is only taken into account for information that is left blank on related Supplier Package packages.
Templates also help reduce data entry and standardize deliverables definition. Use of templates is optional.
Users with role Supplier Package Templates [R/W] are able to maintain this library of templates.
Section | Description |
---|---|
Template | Name and description of the package template, which helps the user to pick the right one, as the name will be used as the descriptor. |
Package Header | The package header defines the type, title and remarks of the package. |
Package FTP Details | If you have a certain standard username and password that you want to share with the supplier package. |
Package Target Schedule | In the case of a standardized schedule for your packages, you can set standard offsets for each package template. With the help of the offset, the supplier package will automatically calculate the target dates inside of the package during the creation. |
Package Deliverables | This section will host up to five standard deliverables, so that the user does not have to create them individually for each package. The title and the details describe the deliverable and the offset works similar to the offset for the target schedule. If needed, a reference link can be added |
