Performing Quantity Takeoff

The following is the basic workflow for key tasks in performing takeoff.

Before Starting Takeoff

Before performing quantity takeoff, you must configure takeoff settings and create a package for your scope of work. You can also set up carbon accounting for your project.

• Configure Takeoff Settings
• Work with Packages
• Set Up Takeoff Carbon Accounting (BETA)

Once setup tasks are complete, you can begin takeoff.

Performing Takeoff

1. Navigate to the Takeoff viewer through the Packages tool in the left navigation.

   • Access the Takeoff viewer

2. In the Takeoff viewer, create takeoff types to describe the different groups of takeoff objects you are quantifying within a package.

   • Takeoff types

3. Select and open a 2D sheet or 3D model to use for takeoff.

   • Work with Sheets & Models in the Takeoff viewer

4. Take off objects from 2D sheets and 3D models using the Takeoff viewer tools.

   • Perform Takeoff on 2D sheets
   • Perform Takeoff on 3D models

5. Review and export takeoff inventory.
