Cost in Autodesk Takeoff
In Takeoff, you can assign a unit cost to takeoff outputs. Cost calculations are displayed and updated within the inventory as you perform takeoff, and can be exported along with the inventory.
Adding Costs to Takeoff Outputs
Unit cost for takeoff can be included when creating a takeoff output, or you can edit an existing takeoff type output to add cost. Output definitions that include unit cost can be used as defaults for takeoff outputs. Create or import output definitions under Settings in the Packages tool.
- Create takeoff types and edit output details in the Takeoff Type panel - Create Takeoff Types
- Create and view takeoff output definitions in Settings in the Packages tool - Configure Takeoff Settings
Viewing Costs in the Inventory
Cost in the takeoff inventory represents a unit cost for a takeoff item. Total cost in the Inventory is calculated by multiplying Cost x Quantity of a given takeoff output. The inventory also calculates a Package Total Cost for all quantities with cost in the package.
