Troubleshooting Exporting Sheets Extracted from Revit Files
Problem
Due to a temporary system error, some customers were able to extract sheets from Revit files while in Sheets & Models in Takeoff. Takeoff does not support export to PDF from sheets that were extracted from Revit files.
When exported to PDF, sheets that were extracted from Revit files may display inaccurate visual results due to lost scale information.
Solution
If you are working with a sheet that has been extracted from a Revit file, we recommend the following:
Upload and extract sheets from a PDF. Our current workflow is to upload and extract sheets from PDFs only. Learn more about publishing 2D files as sheets.
Do not perform takeoff on sheets that were extracted from a Revit file.
- If you have already performed takeoff on one of these sheets, you should copy and paste the takeoff from a sheet extracted from a Revit file to a sheet that was uploaded and extracted from a PDF.
Use Revit Sheets in Takeoff with caution. These sheets are not part of a supported Takeoff workflow and have not been stress tested. As a result, you might encounter unexpected behavior.
