A plate can be processed by a beam or by another plate in two ways:

Create an element contour
- From the Objects tab
Switch panel, select the type of processing you need.

Casing cross section - In the Features tool palette, click
(Element contour).
- Select a plate to modify.
- Select an element (i.e. beam or another plate) with which to process the plate.
- The plate is processed. The properties dialog box appears.
