You can set Autodesk Inventor Nastran to automatically load the results of a previously solved analysis when you reopen the model. To do so, activate the Automatically Load Results option in the Post-Processing section of the Default Settings dialog.
If your model contains more than one analysis, the most recently active analysis is once again active when you reopen the model. Only the results of the active analysis are loaded automatically. If you later activate a different analysis within the same model, you must manually reload the results of this analysis. Of course, you can only load the results of analyses that you solved previously.
If the Automatically Load Results option is disabled, you must manually load the results of any analysis when you reopen a model.
To Reload the Results
- In Inventor, clickLoad in the
Results panel of the
Inventor Nastran ribbon tab, or right-click on
Analysis at the top of the tree and select
Load Results.
An Open dialog appears, which defaults to the \InCAD\FEA subfolder of the current model location, where the results files (*.FNO) are located. Unique filenames are automatically generated, which link the results file to each particular analysis. Typically, all you need do is click Open to proceed. If a results file has been moved to, copied to, or backed up in a different location, simply browse to locate it, select the file, and click Open.
The results are then loaded into the corresponding subcase as shown in the following figure.
You can also perform this command by right-clicking an empty space of the
Inventor Nastran model tree and then selecting
Load Results.
