Run a simulation with the Autodesk Nastran solver using one of the following three methods:
- Click Run in the Solve panel on the Inventor Nastranribbon tab.
- Select and right-click the top node of the active Analysis in the Autodesk Nastran Model Tree and select Solve in Nastran from the context menu.
- Right-click an empty space of the Autodesk Nastran Model Tree and then selecting
Solve in Nastran from the context menu.
The progress of the analysis can be seen in the Autodesk Nastran status window that is brought up automatically. In Autodesk Inventor, the analysis progress appears in the browser frame (model tree area).
If you are solving a nonlinear analysis, and you have elected to generate, load, and display intermediate results:
- The results will be displayed in the canvas and the model tree will reappear once a calculation step has converged.
- The solver progress log will no longer be visible. Choose Autodesk Nastran Output from the drop-down menu immediately above the browser (tree view) to retrn to the solver progress log.
