Workspace Supplier Package

Note:

For users with Fusion connected sites, references to the 'Items' workspace should be the 'Components' workspace.

Few changes are required to this workspace as the template cannot connect this new workspace to your existing workspaces automatically.

Item Details

The workspace Supplier Packages contains the field Supplier which is of type Single Line Text right after the download of this template. Change this field’s type to Picklist (single selection) with reference to your Suppliers workspace. Make sure that this field is still set to be required. For this step, Autodesk recommends that you create a new picklist for your Suppliers workspace which filters for suppliers having a Group Name defined (see previous step).

This ensures proper permission control for shared data.

A similar change is required for field Shared Items. This field also is of type Single Line Text and must be changed to a Picklist field as well. With this field, users must be able to select the Items to be shared with the given supplier. Select a picklist that links to the released records of your Items (and BOMs) workspace. Enable Multiple Selection for this field, but do not make it mandatory.

Grid

This change is related to the previous step as the grid will be set automatically upon package submission. It will list all items being shared and contain the column Item with a link to the given record. Once again, change this field from Single Line Text to type Picklist (single selection). Reuse the same picklist to your Items (and BOMs) workspace as before and set this field to be mandatory.

Workspace Relationships

The shared items also will be connected to the package using the Relationships tab. To enable this mechanism, add your Items workspace to the list of Workspace Relationships as shown below.
