Quick Note: To open and close the properties panel, that function is found on the right side of the Footer Navigation. Visit our Properties Page to learn more about the Properties panel.
Space Labels
To access and utilize Space Labels, users must navigate to the left side of the footer navigation bar. From there, opening the Labels menu provides users with the option to either turn on one or both Level and Room Labels. When selected in the menu, they should appear. Remember, Level labels are on by default.
Level Labels
With the Levels label turned on in the viewer, select one by clicking the level name. This will filter the viewer to just the Level and its associated elements. To remove the now-applied Level filter, click Esc or right-click on the Level Label and click Show all objects.
Space/Room Labels
Spaces, or Rooms as they are called in Revit, appear once the Level or Spaces filters are applied. With these filters applied, the name of each room will be shown in the center of the Space. Keep in mind that the number of labels displayed varies depending on the zoom level and best fit. Zooming in may reveal additional labels.
Data Visualization Controls
To toggle the heatmap and stream pins status on and off, navigate to the left side of the footer navigation and open the Data Visualization menu. Turning on the Stream pins and/or the Heatmap capabilities will display Stream and Connection data in relation to the facility in the models. Visit our Connection page to learn more about how to set up Streams and Connections and start taking advantage of data visualization Tandem Offers.
When Heatmaps are turned on, the heatmap widget appears in the viewer. Selecting one of the properly configured Streams displays the Stream data as a heatmap in the model.
Autoviews
Autoviews provide easy navigation of viewing selection spaces or elements, especially for users new to working in 3D and are unfamiliar with BIM. By selecting a Space or element, these pre-determined views are available via the footer navigation or by right clicking the selection in the viewer.
The following are the available Autoviews:
- First Person View: This view allows you to explore the model from a first-person perspective, providing an immersive experience as if you're inside the space where the object is.
- Level Section View: The Level Section View provides a cross-sectional view of the selected level in your model, offering a detailed look at the building’s interior layout.
- Plan View: The Plan View gives you a top-down perspective of your model, similar to a traditional floor plan. This view is ideal for understanding the overall layout and arrangement of spaces.
- Room View: The Room View isolates individual rooms or spaces within the model, allowing you to examine the details of each area more closely.
