Work stages in the program

Autodesk AutoCAD Structural Detailing - Formwork Drawings is used to create drawings of buildings (elevation drawings, plans of stories, plans of foundations, sections). Creation of drawings in the software is an automated process. Drawings are created based on a 3D model of a building, which is defined using the options available in Autodesk AutoCAD Structural Detailing - Formwork Drawings. Because the Formwork Drawings software works on the AutoCAD platform, it is also possible to use the options available in that program (for example, edit operations such as copying and moving).

Stages of creating a building model and its drawings:

• Defining a model / loading a model from other programs - a structure model includes 3D elements of a 3D structure; drawings will be prepared for these elements.

  Defining the model consists in determining the locations of structural elements of a building, such as beams, columns, walls, slabs, and foundations.

• Assigning positions to structure elements - a position is an object that organizes structure model elements, and for which a common set of drawings may be generated.

  Positions are available on the Model and Positions tabs of the Object Inspector dialog.

• Automatically creating drawings of a building model - after you assign positions to model elements, the program automatically creates drawings of a building. These drawings are based on the configurable templates that define projections, scales, appearance of descriptions, symbols, and other parameters concerning graphic representation of an element in a drawing.

  Drawings can be edited using the tools available in Autodesk AutoCAD Structural Detailing - Formwork Drawings or the AutoCAD standard options. In the case of model modifications, it is possible to automatically update created drawings.
