2D Initial Conditions (IC) Zones are used as part of the mesh generation process carried out when undertaking 2D Modelling.
There are three types of IC Zone:
- Hydraulic - used to define areas in which initial level, depth and velocity values apply
- Water Quality - used to define areas in which initial concentration of sediment fractions or determinants apply
- Infiltration - used to define areas in which initial soil water content apply (when using an infiltration surface using the Horton model)
- Sediment - used to define areas in which initial sediment transport parameters apply
