Corner Finishing produces an accurate rest model and then creates a multiple-trace toolpath on the unmachined areas. Using the Style setting, you can specify whether the toolpath follows the trace lines or cuts across them. The Corner Detection page determines the extents of the toolpath.
This strategy is useful for cleaning up corners that occur between non-tangential surfaces using multiple traces.
This strategy supports Boundary curves.
The availability of this strategy depends on the machining function you are using.
The Corner finishing and Corner pencil finishing strategies are available for the following machining functions:
PartMaker/SwissCAM and PartMaker/Turn-Mill
- Mill XY Plane
- Mill 5-Axis Plane
- Mill ZY Plane
- Mill End, Polar
PartMaker/Mill
- Mill XY Plane
- Mill 5-Axis Plane
- Mill 4-Axis Plane
On the Strategy dialog, the following pages are available for the Corner finishing strategy.
- Corner finishing — The main page used to define a corner toolpath.
- Corner detection — Settings to determine the location of the toolpath.
The remaining pages are common toolpath creation controls.
