Maintenance Page

ICMLive functionality is only available if the ICMLive option is enabled on your licence.

This manifest page manages related simulations. This includes the archiving and deletion of runs, as well as setting up a library of most frequently used runs if required.

Description

Run library

Optional

Note: If a run library is not specified, users will not be able to select runs from the library in the ICMLive Operator Client.

A library is a Live group folder that can contain a smaller number of simulations that are important to the user.

These simulations can be simulations that users may want to refer to frequently or on a long term basis without having to browse through a large number of simulations in the archive.

Run archive maintenance
Field Description
Archive

Required

An archive is a Live group folder that runs get moved into after a user-defined time period (see Archive after days below).

Every time a new automatic or manual run is created in ICMLive Operator Client, it is parented to the manifest model object. As runs can very easily accumulate over time, there could potentially be performance issues .

The archiving of non-current runs in archives achieves an acceptable level of scalability and performance, and alleviates the user from browsing through a large number of runs when performing an operation on a specific simulation.

Archive after days

Required

Time duration from when a run is created until it is moved from the Manifest object to the archive folder.

Default value is 10 days.

Archive organisation

Required

Defines the way the server organises runs that are moved from the Manifest object to the archive. Available options are:

  • By year, (YYYY) – runs are parented to a folder that has the same name as the year in which the archived run was created.
  • By year and month , (YYYYMM) – runs are parented to a folder that has the same name as the year and month in which the archived run was created.
  • By year, month and day (default), (YYYYMMDD) – runs are parented to a folder that has the same name as the year, month and day in which the archived run was created.
  • Flat – All runs are parented directly to the archive folder.

Run delete maintenance

Delete maintenance settings govern which results are deleted during maintenance.

Note:
  • Protected runs and runs moved to the run library will not be deleted.
  • If state files are being used, state files that are required by existing runs will not be deleted.
Field Description
Delete TVD results after days

If checked, TVD results are deleted by the Live Server after the number of days specified.

Default is 30 days.

Delete full results after days

If checked, full results are deleted by the Live Server after the number of days specified.

Default is 180 days.

Delete run objects after days

If checked, the run object and all of its child objects is deleted by the Live Server after the number of days specified.

The run object is either permanently deleted or moved to the recycle bin according to the setting of the Permanently delete the run model object option.

Default is 365 days.

Permanently delete the run model object

If checked, run objects deleted will be permanently deleted from the database and cannot be restored.

When this option is unchecked, run objects deleted will be moved to the recycle bin.

Default is unchecked.

Note: Access to the archive and library is performed in the ICMLive Operator Client.
