ICMLive functionality is only available if the ICMLive option is enabled on your licence.
See Working with Database items topics for details on how to create, open, edit, save, copy or delete manifests.
Manifest objects behave differently compared to the other database items:
- They reside in a Live group, therefore a Live group and not a Model group should be right-clicked in the Explorer Window to create a manifest.
- To save a manifest, either click
(Close) in the top right corner of the manifest and select Yes when prompted to confirm the saving, or click
(Save) in the File toolbar.
- A Copy manifest objects option can be used to copy a selected manifest. Unlike the standard database item Copy option, the Copy manifest objects option enables you to select which simulations you want to copy, and also allows simulations stored in an associated library or run archive to be copied. Other items associated with the manifest, such as themes, layer lists and alerts will also be copied if selected to do so. The Copy manifest objects option is selected by right-clicking on a manifest object in the Explorer Window.
- Manifests used in manifest deployment objects currently deployed cannot be edited. Such manifests are identified by a Deployed caption in their title bar.
- All parameters except the default simulation can be edited in manifests used in
ICMLive runs if the manifest deployment objects containing these manifests are undeployed.
Tip: Manifests will be read-only for users who have not been granted editing rights. Read-only manifests are identified by a (R/O) caption in their title bar.
- Manifests must be validated before they are used in the ICMLive Operator Client.
Define a manifest
- Open a manifest.
- Specify the relevant information in the following pages as required:
- Setup
- Action
- Display
- Maintenance
- Result CSV export
- Database export
- Graph export
- Map export
- Post event report
Ensure that you specify a Default run in the Setup page and an Archive in the Maintenance page as these are required parameters. The manifest will fail validation if these are not specified. However, to make full-use of the ICMLive forecasting system, you will also want to include other items in the manifest such as Action lists and Alert definition lists.
- Validate the manifest (as described below) to check that it is set-up correctly, and if necessary, correct any errors.
- If you want to test any of the export settings, click Test Export on the applicable Result CSV export, Database export, Graph export, Map export or Post event report pages. If necessary, correct any errors that are recorded either in the relevant log file or displayed in a message.
- Click
to save the manifest.
Validate a manifest
- Open the manifest.
- Click
(Validate) in the Validation toolbar.
- InfoWorks ICM displays the Output Window, where any error, warning or information manifest validation messages are displayed. Use the window options to investigate the corresponding fields and make corrections, where required.
- If you make any changes, validate the manifest again.
When the manifest contains no errors:
- Click
to save it.
- Close the Output window.
