You can define mesh settings globally or on a per-part basis. Use the Switch To option to control which dialog box appears when you right-click Mesh Model in the browser and choose Edit from the context menu. The Mesh Settings dialog is used for defining the mesh globally. The Mesh Table dialog is used to define mesh settings on a per-part basis.
Switch To = Mesh Settings (global mesh definition)
- Right-click
Mesh Model in the browser, click
Switch To
Mesh Settings.
- Now, when you right-click Mesh Model and choose Edit...
- The global
Mesh Settings dialog appears.
Note: Regardless of the
Switch To option, you can always access the global
Mesh Settings dialog by clicking
Mesh Settings in the
Mesh panel of the
Inventor Nastran ribbon tab.

- Right-click
Mesh Model in the browser, click
Switch To
Mesh Table.

Mesh panel of the
