Use the Mesh Troubleshooter when meshing fails for a model. Mesh Troubleshooter can be accessed from the Mesh panel of Autodesk Inventor Nastran ribbon.
It can also be opened directly from the "Meshing Failed" warning dialog by clicking on the Troubleshoot button.
The following dialog opens:
To activate the Mesh Troubleshooter, select the Troubleshoot mesh button located at the upper part of the dialog. There are two output sections in the dialog. The upper section highlights the entities where meshing was unsuccessful. The lower section provides the reasons for the mesh failure for the entity selected in the upper section.
Running the mesh troubleshooter offers insights into potential issues with the CAD model from a meshing standpoint. When you select entities in the top section, the corresponding entity is highlighted in the canvas, complete with a tooltip for additional information.
