Library-Based Connection Design Automation Use library-based connection design automation to model your design intent faster, while embedding structural engineering and fabrication rules to reduce iterations. Adaptive Rebar Propagation Copy and adapt shape-driven rebar from the source host to destination hosts. The bars are adapted by matching the rebar constraints. Electrical Analysis Electrical engineers can estimate the building power requirements and define preliminary conceptual distribution system without having to create physical electrical model elements, thus enabling conceptual analysis and initial equipment sizing with minimal modelling. Demolished MEP Elements Remain Connected Community idea: To improve productivity, the following MEP elements stay connected and assigned to their systems when demolished: pipes, ducts, conduit, cable tray, wires, and fabrication parts. Technology Preview: MEP Fabrication Data Manager Fabrication Data Manager (FDM) is a cloud hosted service that enables collaborators to share, manage, and build MEP fabrication content to deliver to Revit users. FormIt/Revit Workflow Explore and iterate on your design with the new linking workflow between FormIt and Revit. More features CAD Linking/Importing File Support Multiple improvements have been made to support linking/importing CAD files. Filter by Sheet for Schedules The Schedule tool now supports the ability to filter by sheet. Multi-Leader Tag Leader Enhancements Community idea: You can tag multiple elements with the same tag. Use the Add/ Remove Host option during tag placement or for adding additional hosts (leaders) to existing tags. Activate Controls with Multiple Elements Selected A new control has been added to increase navigation performance in views. Save Placement Setting for Workplane-Based Families When you place an element from a workplane-based family, the last used option is saved as the default placement option. Tag All Displaced Elements in 3D Views Community idea: Tag all displaced elements in 3D views. Temporary Dimensions for Nested/Shared Elements When you select elements from nested and shared families, temporary dimensions automatically display. Displace Elements in 2D Views Community idea: Displace elements in 2D views. Contour Label Direction Contour labels "keep readable" from any direction. Interactive Solar Studies Make it easier to control the time of day and artificial lighting options within a view. Additional Taggable Categories The list of taggable categories has been expanded to help you more fully document your designs. Project Browser Icons for Views on Sheets Project Browser icons indicate if a view is on a sheet. Floor Folding and Split Lines New functionality makes it easier to control folding and split lines on shape-edited floors. Use automatically generated folding and split lines to represent floor conditions in the model. Steel Connections Library Content Use out-of-the-box libraries of standardized connections to automate the placement of steel connections, based on national standards for steel connections. Updated AISC Shape Types Added the steel shape tables according to the 15th edition of the AISC. Create Post-Tension Anchors using Rebar Couplers Rotate couplers with respect to the bar end for precise modelling with clash avoidance. Displaced Rebar Representation Community idea: You can now displace rebar to make documentation easier to read and understand. Multi-Leader Tags for Rebar Community idea: You can tag multiple rebar elements with the same tag. Use the Add/ Remove Host option during tag placement or for adding additional hosts (leaders) to existing tags. Improved Performance of Rebar in the Cloud Easily publish and open 3D rebar views using Autodesk Docs or Autodesk Construction Cloud viewer to coordinate, inspect, and share 3D rebar details or views of the model.
