Increase triangle count by subdividing existing triangles
During a mesh refinement, the existing triangles are split into smaller triangles until all triangles have at most the specified edge length. The shape of the part is not changed by this operation. A refined mesh can produce better results for smoothing, for example.
- From the main menu, choose .
- Make your adjustments as needed:
- Select whether to refine only those areas composed of triangles that are currently selected.
- Adjust the Max. Edge Length as required.
- Click OK.
Note: You can select one or more triangles in the mesh and start the
Refine Triangle Mesh command to apply the operation to only the selected triangles, as opposed to the entire part.
