Solver message 201423

Message text

** WARNING 201423 ** The model is too large to be analyzed with the automatic option. The analysis type is now switched to small deflection.

Explanation

In a Midplane warp analysis, the Automatic option triggers a buckling analysis first. For large Midplane models, greater than 80,000 nodes, the warp solver automatically switches the analysis type from Automatic to Small deflection to enable the analysis to proceed.

Resolution

No action is required if the small deflection analysis provides you with sufficient information. Otherwise,

  • Change the analysis to Large deflection which is more accurate than the Buckling analysis when studying warpage stability, but may take longer to run.
  • Remesh the part with a coarser mesh to reduce the node count to less than 80,000, if it is possible to do so without losing resolution on part features.
