** WARNING 701272 ** Switching to the Successive over relaxation (SOR) solver
Explanation
The Cool 3D Boundary element solver uses a Bi-Conjugate Gradient (BiCG) solver for solving the matrix. If the matrix is ill-conditioned and no diagonal is dominant, then the BiCG solver struggles to converge. When convergence is difficult, the solver switches to the Successive Over Relaxation (SOR) solver, to assist with the convergence. This difficulty is most likely to occur when a part insert is present in the mold.
Resolution
If a part insert is present in the mold,
- Check the contact interfaces between the part and the insert.
- Ensure that the meshes at the interface are of the same order mesh size. The meshes need not match, but it is best if the edge lengths are of similar size.
