Use the Translate dialog to translate selected elements in the active Face window. When working in:
- CAD mode, you can translate selected geometry.
- CAM mode, you can translate selected holes and/or profiles.
To display the Translate dialog, select the elements that you want to translate in the active Face window, then select Edit > Transform > Translate.
Tip: You can also use the Translate
button the Face Window toolbar in CAD mode to display this dialog.

The following settings are available:
Multiple Copies — Select this option to copy the selected elements.
No. of Copies — If Multiple Copies is selected, enter the number of copies to create. This must be a value between 1 and 99.
Method — Select the method you want to use to translate the selected elements:
- Distance — Select to translate the selected elements using the coordinate values specified in the Horizontal Distance and Vertical Distance fields.
- Distance, Angle — Select to translate the selected elements using the values specified in the Distance and Angle fields.
- From Point, To Point — Select to translate the selected elements using the values specified in the z1, y1 and z2, y2 fields. There are two ways to specify these values:
- Entering coordinate values in the fields.
- Clicking
and selecting the point interactively. PartMaker displays a cross-hair cursor for you to select a center point in the Face window. The Snap Modes toolbar also appears for you to select a snap mode.
Translate — Click to translate the selected elements using the settings specified in the dialog.
