Use the Generate Setup Sheet dialog to select the template for a setup sheet. You can also use the dialog to add optional job parameters or graphics (for example, a company logo) to the setup sheet.
To display this dialog, select File > Setup Sheets > Generate Setup Sheet.
The following settings are available:
Type — Select whether you want to view HTML or Excel templates.
Template Name — This area of the dialog lists the templates available. A template controls the content and layout of the setup sheet (as shown in the Template Preview area of the dialog). Click to select the template you want to use to generate the setup sheet.
Tool View — If the selected template contains automatic pictures for tools (which show the tool being used for each machining process), select the type of view to use for these pictures:
- Tool - Front View — Select to show a 2D view of the tool.
- Tool - Isometric View — Select to show a 3D view of the tool.
- Tool and Holder - Front View — Select to show a 2D view of the tool and holder.
- Tool and Holder - Isometric View — Select to show a 3D view the tool and holder.
- Tool Assembly - Front View — Select to show a 2D view of the tool, holder and tool post.
- Tool Assembly - Isometric View — Select to show a 3D view of the tool, holder, and tool post.
- User Supplied Picture — Select to include a custom tool picture in the setup sheet.
The requirements for naming and storing user-supplied tool pictures are the same as those for creating drawings for a user-defined tool.
Part View — If the selected template contains automatic pictures for part cutting (which show the part being machined by each machining process), select the type of view to use for these pictures:
- Standard View — Select to show the part being cut in an XY view or a ZY view, depending on the Face window.
- Standard View, Show Toolpath — Select to show the part being cut in an XY view or a ZY view, depending on the Face Window. It also shows the toolpath moves for that process.
- Isometric View — Select to show the part being cut in an Isometric view.
- Isometric View, Show Toolpath — Select to show the part being cut in an Isometric view. It also shows the toolpath moves for that process.
- 3D View — Select to show the part being cut in a 3D view.
Optional Job Parameters — Click to display the Optional Parameters dialog, where you can set optional job parameters for the setup sheet.
Logo and Pictures — Click to display the Logo and Pictures dialog, where you can select a logo, and other pictures, to be included in the setup sheet.
Setup Sheet Viewer — Click to display the Setup Sheet Viewer dialog, where you can specify options for viewing setup sheets. Depending on the type of template you use, PartMaker displays the setup sheet in a web browser or in Microsoft Excel.
Open Template Folder — Click to display a Windows Explorer window listing the files in the setup_sheet_templates folder.
Preview — Click to display a preview of the setup sheet in your default browser.
Generate — Click to display the Save Setup Sheet File dialog. PartMaker displays a default filename for the setup sheet, but you can change this if you wish. Click Save to generate the setup sheet.
Close — Click to save any changes and close the dialog.
Cancel — Click to discard any changes and close the dialog.
