Use the Material Data dialog to maintain the Materials database file (.mde), which stores your materials data. PartMaker uses the information in the Materials database to calculate burning strategies.
To display this dialog, select ToolMinder > Material.
The following settings are available:
Wire — Select a Wire. The different Wire diameters available are as defined in the Tools database. PartMaker displays the list of materials currently available for this Wire.
Name — The name of the material.
Thickness — The initial thickness of the material. If a land option is used, the thickness corresponds to the land height.
Taper — The taper of the cut for the material. You may have several instances of a material, each specified with a different taper, as different taper sizes require different burning strategies and power settings.
New — Click to add a new material to the Materials database.
Delete — Click to delete the selected material.
Close — Click to save any changes you have made and close the dialog.
Apply — Click to apply any changes you have made without closing the dialog.
