Use the Feed and Speed Factors dialog to display the formulas used to calculate Feeds and Speeds, and enter the factors by which PartMaker increases or decreases the spindle speed and feed rate.
To display this dialog, click Feed and Speed Factors on the Tool Properties dialog.
The following settings are available:
? — Click to display the formulas that PartMaker uses to calculate feeds and speeds based on material file data.
Speed Factor — Enter the factor by which PartMaker increases or decreases the spindle speed for the tool.
Feed Factor — Enter the factor by which PartMaker increases or decreases the feed rate for the tool.
Note: Feed and speed factors are kept for compatibility with old job files. In PartMaker 2015 and above you can enter cutting data per tool with the Cutting Data dialog, and set the spindle direction with the Spindle Direction option on the Tool Data and Edit Tool dialogs.
