Use the Index Broach Options dialog to set the starting angle for the Index Broach tool.
To display the Index Broach Options dialog, click Index Broach Options on the Edit Hole Operation dialog when you have Index Broach selected as the Operation Type on the Cycles Data dialog.
The following settings are available:
Starting Angle (S) — Enter the angle by which to index the stock before the start of the broaching process.
Multiple Cuts — Select this option if you want to include multiple indexes of the stock within the Index Broach operation.
For example, to cut the following hexagonal hole, the rectangular tool makes three cuts, rotating incrementally by 120
between each cut.
Number of Cuts (N) — Enter the number of times you want the stock to index to broach the shape in the operation. This field is available only if Multiple Cuts is selected.
Angular Increment (A) — Enter the angle by which you want to index the stock between each cut. This field is available only if Multiple Cuts is selected.
