When you select Job Optimizer > Generate Process Table in PartMaker/Mill or PartMaker/Turn, the following settings are displayed on the Process Table Options dialog.
Retain Process Parameters Modifications — Select to include changes you have made to the current Process Table in the new Process Table.
Reorder Processes to Minimize Tool Change Time — If selected, PartMaker automatically combines and reorders processes applied to different groups to minimize the time taken to change tools.
When working with hole canned cycles, the following rules apply:
- The DRILL, SPOT DRILL, DEEP HOLE, CHIP BREAK, RIGID TAP, FLOAT TAP, BORE,DWELL, and BORE hole canned cycles are combined into a single process when:
- the same tool is used.
- the Axial Step is the same.
- the Output Hole Canned Cycle check box in the Edit Hole Operation dialog is in the same state.
- The CIRCLE MILL, THREAD MILL, and HELICAL MILL hole canned cycles are combined into a single process when:
- the same tool is used.
- the Cutter Direction is the same.
- the Output Hole Canned Cycle check box in the Edit Hole Operation dialog is deselected.
- The VARIABLE STEP hole canned cycle is never combined into a single process.
Machining Order by — Specify how you want PartMaker to order the machining processes in the Process Table:
- Tools — Select to order the processes according to the tools that are used. Each tool finishes machining all faces of a part before the next tool is used.
- Faces — Select to order the processes according to the faces that are used. Each tool finishes machining one face of the part completely before moving on to the next face of the part.
