Wire

Wire — Select the wire you want to use for this Face window.

List of Face Windows

List of Face Windows — This area lists the Face windows that have been created for the current job. Select the Face window whose details you want to view, or edit, on this dialog.

Rename to — Enter a name for the currently selected Face window. If you do not enter a name, PartMaker uses Untitled as the name for the Face window.

Orientation

• Part Height (H) — Enter the height of the part.
• Fixture Height(F) — Enter the height of any fixture being used.
• Z Lower Guide(L) — Enter the distance between the machine table and the top of the lower guide.
• Z Upper Guide(U) — Enter the distance from the machine table to the bottom of the upper guide.
• Guide Diameter(d) — Enter the diameter of the guide PartMaker uses this value to display the guides in simulation.

Boundaries

Use the settings in this area of the dialog to set the stock boundaries:

x1 — Enter the point on the X axis that determines the left side of the part in relation to the part zero point.

x2 — Enter the point on the X axis that determines the right side of a part in relation to the part zero point.

y1 — Enter the point on the Y axis that corresponds to X1. X1, Y1 determines the zero point where you begin to create a part in a face window.

y2 — Enter the point on the Y axis that corresponds to X2. X2, Y2 determines the upper-right corner of a part in a face window.

Work Offset — If the postprocessor you are using supports work offset (or fixture) codes, enter the code that you want to use for the current Face window. PartMaker inserts this code into the NC programs for this job.

Buttons

Apply — Click to apply your changes to the currently selected Face window.

Delete — Click to delete the currently selected Face window from the List of Face Windows, so it is no longer available in the .job file.

New — Click to add a new Face window to the List of Face Windows. The new Face window inherits the settings used for the previously selected Face window.

Delete — Click to delete the currently selected Face window from the List of Face Windows, so it is no longer available in the .job file.

User Data — Click to display the User Data dialog, where you can specify custom data (known as User Data) for the current Post Configuration file.

Notes

Notes — Enter any notes that are relevant to the current Face window or the job. Depending on the configuration of the postprocessor you are using, these notes can be included in the NC programs file for this job. Refer to the ConfigPost Reference Help for more information about configuring postprocessors.
