Section Finished Part Dialog - XY Plane (PartMaker)

This dialog enables you to perform sectioning in the XY Plane along the Z-axis.

Sectioning Plane — Select the plane in which you want to make the section.

Dynamic Sectioning — Select to enable you to dynamically section the part using the arrow buttons .

Reverse Direction — Select to reverse the direction in which the part is sectioned.

— Click to increment/decrement the Z coordinate value and perform dynamic sectioning along the Z-axis. The sectioning increment/decrement is 1% of the total length of the finished part along Z- axis.

For example: If finished part length is 1.2 along Z-axis then each click either of these buttons will section the part by 0.012.

Note: If Dynamic Sectioning is not checked clicking on these buttons will modify Z Coordinate only.

Z Coordinate — Specify the Z Coordinate where the part will be sectioned.

Range — The min and max coordinates of the part along Z-axis are displayed. If the Z Coordinate is out of range PartMaker displays an error message.

Preview — Click to preview sectioning at the specified Z coordinate.

OK — Click to section the finished part and close the dialog.
