Use the Pull with Front Gripper Material Control Process (MCP) to feed the bar stock out to a specified Z coordinate, with a Part Gripper mounted in the turret to support the part from the front.
When you select Pull with Front Gripper, the following settings are available on the Material Control Process Parameters dialog:
Tool Info
Tool Post — Select the turret where the Front Gripper is mounted.
- Turret #1 — The upper turret on slant-bed lathes or the front turret on flat-bed lathes.
- Turret #2 — The lower turret on slant-bed lathes or the rear turret on flat-bed lathes.
- Turret #3 — The third turret on lathes with three or four turrets.

Grip Coord(Zg) — Enter an incremental Z distance (measured from the face of the bar stock) to where the Front Gripper clamps onto the bar.
Pull Distance(Zp) — Enter the distance that the Front Gripper pulls out the material. This is an incremental Z distance.
Process Time — Enter an estimate of how long it takes the Front Gripper to move from its safe index position at the start of the process, back to its safe index position at the end of the process.
Note — Enter any note you want to be associated with the process.
User Data — Click to display the User Data dialog, where you can specify custom data (known as User Data) for the current Post Configuration file.
