Transfer from Main Spindle to Sub-Spindle (PartMaker)

Use the Transfer from Main Spindle to Sub-Spindle Material Control Process (MCP) to transfer a workpiece from the main spindle to the sub-spindle when working with slug parts.

Note: Use the M1SF Synchronization Mode to transfer workpieces when working bar stock.

When you select Transfer for Main Spindle to Sub-Spindle, the following settings are available on the Material Control Process Parameters dialog:

Grip Coord(Zg) — Enter the distance (measured from the face of the workpiece on the main spindle) to where the sub-spindle clamps onto the workpiece. This is an incremental Z distance.

Process Time — Enter an estimate of how long it takes the sub-spindle to move from its home position at the beginning of the process, back to its home position at the end of the process.

Tip: Use the Process Table Time Units option on the Preferences dialog to select the unit (Minutes or Seconds) for entering process times.

Note — Enter any note you want to be associated with the process.

User Data — Click to display the User Data dialog, where you can specify custom data (known as User Data) for the current Post Configuration file.
